You may have heard about fund raiser undertaken by the NSW Police St.George Local Area Command on behalf of one of their colleagues who is battling cancer.

In a bid to raise further funds for this cause, Rockdale City Suns will be playing St George FC in a local derby to help raise funds for the Police Officer (with proceeds going to the Emily Newman Fund).

Both teams are local to the community and we need your help to promote  the fixture to help raise as much funds as possible.

The game will be held this Sunday 10/03/2013 at the Ilinden Sports Centre located at 468 West Botany Street Rockdale.  Kick-off is 3.00pm.

There will be a gate entrance fee of $5.00 for anyone over 16 years of age.  Donations at the gate are also welcome.

By way of background, the Emily Newman Fund has been setup for the daughter of Natalie Newman, the Police Officer suffering from cancer. The fund is to raise money for Natalie Newman’s daughter Emily as she has no dependants and money available to her after Natalie passes away.
