5.  Presidents’ Report
The President stated that the season had been a triumph.  Not only had the Committee repaid some of the previous year’s accounts, we had also been awarded the Bill Dobson Shield for the highest performing Club on the field for Season 2013 in our smaller club category.  This was due to the incredible commitment of the Committee and our coaches.   We obviously want to continue this next year.  That will be best done by continuing to prepare for next season well before it starts.

Special mention has to go to Gerald and Antoinetta for keeping the canteen going and providing an excellent website as well as Michael who marked the lines and generally kept things moving.   Yvonne’s contribution has already been recognised as Club Person of the Year and we need to make sure we find a good replacement.  Nancy kept the books going and ensured that we had our accounts up to date.  Although the Club was in good shape at the start of the year, the uncertainty associated with getting a committee and the change of field to a council owned field, presented special challenges.  The Club met those challenges.

7.  General Business
a)  Club assistance with registration will commence on 18th January 2014. Players to be advised by email when the website is operational so they can self-register.
b)  Training will commence on 6th Feb 2014 with a sausage sizzle after the second session.
c)  Stephen to investigate what happened to Sydney Airport Corporation sponsorship.  The Club is looking for an extra sponsor to donate approx. $6K so that we can buy brand new shirts for everyone and have them branded with the sponsor’s name.
d)  The Club needs to purchase new mini goals.
e)  U14’s to continue training from 9.30am-11.00am Saturday for November, December & January.  Council advised.
f)  Next year’s RTOs must also register online for police checks.  This was previously a paper-based system but will now be computerised.
g)  Secretary to email club members to determine who is going to be an RTO next year.
